The activities carried out by Farsettiarte's GALLERIES place them in the very foreground of the Italian cultural and artistic landscape. The exhibitions organized at our various locations stand out for the importance of the work on display and for their high attendance. One should note, for example, the series in Prato entitled “Cento Opere” (“One Hundred Artworks”); for each exhibition, it has brought together one hundred paintings by artists like Rosai, Viani, Soffici, De Pisis, Carrà, etc. Exhibition activities in Cortina have included a series of “Tributes” to great 20th-century Italian artists like Morandi, Sironi, Campigli, Balla, Casorati, Savinio, etc., and “Selections” accompanied by interesting critical essays.

Many exhibitions have also been sponsored by public institutions.
In recent years, Farsettiarte has also focused its attention on the field of Old Masters and 19th-century paintings. This has led to the “art over the centuries” series, featuring masterpieces that span from the Renaissance to the avant-gardes, in a travelling exhibition that first opened in Cortina and then visited Milan and Prato.Monographic exhibitions have included a retrospective on Giorgio Morandi in 1989, “Il Barocco”, dedicated to Giorgio Chirico, in 1991, and a show of Marc Chagall's work from 1927 to 1981, in 1992.The recent exhibition of work by Ottone Rosai (whom Frediano and Franco Farsetti met at the beginning of their career), held both to celebrate Farsettiarte's fortieth year in business and to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of this Florentine artist's birth, was a crowd-pulling cultural event.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the President of the Italian Republic, Oscar Luigi Scalfaro (visiting Prato for the very first time) in the presence of leading representatives of regional and provincial institutions.

The exhibition, organized as a large retrospective of 200 paintings dating from 1913 to 1957, drew 10,000 art lovers to the Prato gallery over the course of a month; when it later moved on to the Palazzo Reale in Milan, it was visited by 40,000 people.
